THE LEAGUE OF SWEDISH SOCIETIES IN PORTLAND
The nine original member organizations of the League of Swedish Societies united in 1927 to present a grand Midsummer Festival in 1928. Presented continuously since then, the festival has taken place in locations across the Portland metro area. Now designated an Oregon Heritage Tradition, we present the 96th annual raising of the Midsummer pole, hosted by Nordic Northwest as part of the Oregon Midsummer Festival on Saturday, June 24, 2023.
